Townships often span vast areas with significant portions dedicated to green landscapes—lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees—that not only enhance aesthetics but also serve as community spaces for residents. Maintaining this greenery, however, poses considerable challenges for facility managers, especially during dry spells and unpredictable monsoons.
One of the biggest hurdles is ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for irrigation. At Enviro, we understand the importance of preserving these green lungs. Through smart water management techniques—like recycled STP water for irrigation, drip systems to minimize wastage, and scheduled watering cycles—we ensure that large horticultural zones thrive even in peak summers.
Here’s a real-world example of how our team addressed this very issue in a township we manage, balancing water efficiency with vibrant, well-kept greenery year-round. This is the power of proactive facility management in action.
Introduction: Central Park of Vatika Infotech City Jaipur is the largest expanse of green stretch being maintained by Enviro (22 Acres area). Besides spacious lawns and walkways, the Central Park boasts of a Cricket ground, Basketball court, Tennis Court, Badminton courts, Volleyball court and Kids play area. Although the vastness of the Central Park is a unique feature, however, it presents critical challenges in maintenance. Our Horticulture team has developed unique methodologies and processes to ensure effective landscape maintenance. This write-up along with photographs showcases the efforts put in by the team and the wonderful results that have been achieved.
Before: The 22-acre Central Park faced significant challenges including limited resources and a severe water shortage, which impacted landscaping maintenance. The park’s lush greenery and amenities were struggling to thrive.
The Challenge: With limited resources and water constraints, the horticulture maintenance team had to adopt efficient strategies to ensure the park’s sustainability in close coordination with technical maintenance team of VIC.
The focus was on:
. Water-efficient practices: Implementing Sprinkler irrigation, and smart irrigation controllers to minimize water waste. Regular technical maintenance of the plumbing systems was resorted to so as to ensure availability of water for green areas.
. Low-maintenance landscaping: Selecting drought-tolerant plants and reducing turf areas to minimize watering and mowing needs.
. Prioritized maintenance: Focusing on essential maintenance tasks, such as pruning, weeding, and fertilizing, to maintain the park’s aesthetic appeal. A specially designed grass cutting machine was fabricated for the large grounds.

After: The park’s landscaping maintenance has been transformed by regular maintenance and perseverance backed by unique solutions implemented by the team.
Drought-Tolerant plants: Plants that require minimal watering and maintenance, reducing the park’s water consumption.
Efficient irrigation systems: Sprinkler irrigation and smart controllers optimize water use, reducing waste and minimizing the park’s water footprint.
Regular Pruning & weeding: Well-manicured lawns / gardens with regular pruning, weeding, lawn-moving and fertilizing maintain the park’s beauty and functionality.
After Photographs – A glimpse of the transformation: A thriving park with lush landscaping, well-manicured lawns and gardens backed by efficient irrigation systems is now the center of attraction at VIC.
